Documentary Release

In the spring of 2009 the Race Initiative Media Arts Academy was born with the sole purpose of exploring racism through the lens of media production. 14 youth (ranging from 11-18 years old) representing 10 different schools and five different cities) journeyed together for 6 consecutive weeks of training, team-building, skill acquisition and interviewing. This documentary captures voices of themselves, each other and members of their community exploring racism.
